for she had let me use her eyes to see the world
to watch the moon grow
and hear the wolves howl
mostly the ones inside me
that scream and scream at nights
and never let me sleep
the ones that keep me alive
the ones that make me being me
because without them
who would I truly be?
I might not want to know
but I can't keep ignoring
what in me
what truth others can see
I live with them
I feed them with my fears
my fears are feeding me
sometimes I feel protected
they are there for me
they've always been
and they might stay with me
the future that I dread
might not be so hard to bear
as long as I'll have them there
ready to fight for me

what bravery
what strength
what power
lies in me
and others indeed can see

so I just have to look closer
